The bus ride was very enjoyable. On reaching the museum, we were assigned a guide to tell us the wondrous history about the various artefacts, sculptures, paintings etc. We started by seeing the 'Eastern Gateway' “Torana” in the Bharhut Gallery. After that we went and saw different types of coins in the coin gallery, various sculptures from various galleries such as the Bronze Gallery and the Gandhara Gallery, we saw an Egyptian Mummy which had been preserved for almost 4000 years and other artefacts, some preserved animals, models of ancient prehistoric animals, and a variety of plants and herbs and so much more. We also saw some exuberant fabrics in the textile gallery and some amazing paintings, vases and other sculptures made of ivory which were truly eye catching. We finished off our tour by going to the Human Evolution Gallery after which we had our lunch and relaxed for a while before returning to school. This was our first ever and a truly memorable excursion and it was very exciting and fun-filled event that had been organised! Everyone enjoyed to the fullest!
