POSTER MAKING COMPETITION ON EQUALITY OF WOMEN AND TRANSGENDER

STEM World School, with the initiation of Barrackpore Police Commissionerate organised an awareness programme on equality of women and transgender through a Poster Making Competition. Students of classes 8-10 were involved in this programme. All the students were divided into 27 groups. Each group had one spokesperson who delivered a speech regarding the poster. The awareness programme was organised between 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm. As special guests, Shri Abunur Hossain(WBPS) , Shri Debasish Sarkar(IC Rahara PS) and Smt. Anasuya Chakraborty (O/C Community Policing Wing , BKPC) were invited. The honourable guests were felicitated by the students with flower plants and Tilak in a traditional way. Students were called group wise to deliver their respective speech explaining their concept behind the poster. Barrackpore Police Commissionerate showed the students important and relevant videos which made the students understand about the Gender Specific Solutions. At the end of the programme the winner group was announced along with 1st and 2nd runner up. The programme came to an end with a photograph with all the participants of classes 8 to 10.
