In order to eliminate measles and rubella (congenital rubella syndrome) WHO has emphasized on measles and rubella (MR) vaccination campaign and India launched the ambitious MR Campaign with the help of WHO and GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization). The main objective of the campaign was to assess the knowledge of parents regarding measles and rubella infection and to identify the source of information regarding MR campaign. The vaccination campaign was organized by the Government of West Bengal for Measles & Rubella for children from age group 9 months to 15 years. In STEM World School, the vaccination program was organized, supervised by the Block Medical Officer of Health Dr. Mishar Biswas along with his medical team on 11th January, 2023 from 10 a.m. onwards in our school auditorium. The vaccine was given to children from classes Lower Nursary to X. For those who had already received MMR or MR Vaccine earlier, the campaign dose was given as a booster dose to them. All immunized children received a vaccination card to verify the MR vaccine administration. A medical team along with nurses, teachers, attendants and volunteers—were involved in the programme. The vaccination campaign at STEM World School proved to be a great success with the cooperation of the staff members, the brave children of STEM who fearlessly came forward to participate in the programme along with the parents who devoted their valuable time to join the campaign.
