Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps to cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.” The Spell Bee Competition in STEM World School was organized on 25th September 2023 in the school Auditorium, from classes 1 to 9. This competition was one of the numerous enjoyable competitions that give students a platform to learn spellings in different ways. This competition helps students to improve their spellings, increase their vocabulary, learn different concepts, and develop the use of correct English. The children were able to demonstrate their talent and mastery of the English language through their participation in this event. The main purpose of this event was to serve as a means of encouragement to continue learning and to do so in such a way that they can develop their vocabulary in a more holistic way and not merely academically. The children showed responsibility, dedication, and passion during the whole process. Children participated earnestly in the competition. Their efforts and initiative was appreciated by one and all. Spelling bees help to promote literacy by providing children with a positive goal to work towards, and give them a forum to display the fruits of their hard work.
