Enrichment programmes help to ensure a diverse and talented workforce in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) as well as in other disciplines. They allow the faculty to keep pace with the fast- changing learning environment while building networks of support for their professional success. Such programmes aim to build trust among teachers and help them to realize their potential in their chosen profession. The programme's objective is to promote one or more of the Institute’s Strategic Planning Priorities, such as educational excellence, resource management and collaboration for continuous development of education patterns. In order to organize such enrichment programmes, STEM World School has established a “Centre of Enrichment” for teachers of various schools spanning over the areas in and around Barrackpore. The idea is to include teachers of different schools and create an opportunity for them to not just interact with the best minds in the field of education but also to enrich themselves too. This workshop aims to bring about good standards in terms of students’ development. We were privileged to organise such a workshop in our school, on Saturday, August 24th 2024 in collaboration with Macmillan Education Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata entitled “History Cluster Workshop”, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. which was followed by lunch. Mrs. Madhuparna Andrews, an experienced Teacher Educator, Principal of Purushottam Bhagchandka Academic School, conducted the workshop as the resource person. Teachers of different schools in and around Barrackpore, participated in this enrichment programme and made it a grand success. The workshop not only provided teachers with knowledge, but it also taught them how to apply those in their daily teaching. We hope to witness more such enriching workshops in near future.
